My Story
Twenty one years ago I was blessed with a baby girl. When she discovered she could climb she began exploring my kitchen counter top. At that time, this was where I burned large fragrance candles. My daughter loved to see the candles and try to touch the wick. That little development combined with being the wife of a Fire Chief prompted me to quit burning candles at all.
Fast forward to a fateful nail appointment where I noticed a cute little warmer on the counter. Not really understanding entirely what it was, I asked where I could find one. It was then that my nail girl told me all about Scentsy. I was super impressed with the product and went home to give it some thought. A few weeks later while doing a home show for my own custom fence company, I saw a Scentsy booth. I decided to take a quick break from fences and check it out. I had no idea I was about to move into something so fun! I stopped at the booth and was told the very touching story of how Scentsy began. This was when introduced to Collette (the storyteller), one of the founders of Scentsy. I spent the next hour talking to her about Scentsy and hashing over business ideas. Meeting Collette was all the push I needed. She is such an amazing person.
In January of 2007 I joined Scentsy and It's been Scentsational at my house for over 21 years now! What an adventure in product changes. Some successes, some failures, many lessons, new business spin offs, purses, fondue and now, circling back to candles in 2025. Just crazy how evolution works.
